"Trick or Treat. Be so sweet. Give me something good to eat."
I've got a soft spot for Peanut M&M's so there's usually some hiding somewhere in the house...if I can even get them to last long enough to hide them! I purchased a special Halloween bag and noticed a recipe for Popcorn Pumpkins on the bag. The mouth started watering as I remembered all the different colored Popcorn balls my mom would make for us as a kid. I use to think it was the greatest thing! This had to be a project that we would try! Plus they had a cute idea of making pumpkins out of them (as you can see we didn't get that far because I couldn't find orange cellophane). To see pictures and to get the directions go to Bright Ideas.
My son has the same love for Peanut M&M's so they didn't quite make it into the Popcorn ball mixture when they needed to. Instead of sticking to the popcorn balls, they went right to the bottom of the bowl. Oh well. And I must warn you to be prepared for the mess...that corn syrup mixture gets hard rather fast!
We made some stickers on the computer, tied the bow and we had a gift for him to give to all his friends. I'm sure their parents will love me since I tried one and oh my gosh does it stick to the teeth! I seem to have forgotten that memory. I guess when you are a kid you aren't too worried about tooth decay and cavities :)
I can't believe Halloween is almost here and even more I can't believe its the end of October! Can someone please tell me what happened to the month of October? Christmas is going to be here in a blink, and I'll probably miss Thanksgiving if November disappears on me like October did.
Be inspired, get creative, and have fun!
